Alex Reeve

Deputy Chief Executive

Alex is an experienced Director of Real Estate with over 15 years of senior leadership experience in the not-for-profit sector.

After completing a BSc in Psychology & International History at Keele University in 1998, Alex began a career in healthcare at SLAM NHS Trust, working at Bethlem Royal Hospital. This experience in mental health services laid the foundation for a career in social housing and real estate management. Alex progressed through roles at Metropolitan Housing Trust and StepForward, successfully mobilising innovative supported housing services, including a forensic step-down service in collaboration with SLAM NHS Trust.

In 2006, Alex joined Family Action as Strategic Development Manager, leading a government-funded national mental health strategy and creating best practice networks to improve service user participation. Transitioning to Family Mosaic in 2010, Alex rose to Regional Director, managing a large portfolio of specialist housing units and multiple care services across London and the Southeast. During this time, Alex delivered major organisational change, including the post-merger integration with Peabody Trust. Prior to joining Haig Housing, Alex has served as Head of Property for the Diocese of Chelmsford, managing an extensive property portfolio of 430 residential residences, listed estates, closed churches, and 1,500 acres of agricultural land. Alex has successfully overseen capital development projects, real estate transactions, and strategic estate planning, generating capital through asset rationalisation and land promotion.

In 2024 Alex achieved a distinction in an RICS-accredited MSc in Real Estate at Kingston University, including a research project on Biophilic Design in London corporate offices. Alex is also a Prince2 Registered Practitioner.
