Haig is delighted to offer charity places for the most popular marathon on the planet

There are two ways to secure a place:

1) London Marathon ballot

WE ENCOURAGE ALL INTERESTED RUNNERS TO ENTER THE BALLOT, opening on Friday 25^th April HERE

If you’re successful in the ballot (announced by July 2025), we’d love you to consider joining Team Haig to help raise awareness of who we are, what we do and fundraise what you can to support our work.

In return, we’ll offer you:

• A Haig branded running vest to proudly wear during training and on the day
• Training guide from our professional running coach
• Digital fundraising pack to help you smash your target
• Invitation to Team Haig training session (date tbc)
• Connect you with our running squad for moral support
• The noisiest cheer squad on the day
• Your name added to our online Team Haig Hall of Fame

2) Charity place Via the form below

If unsuccessful in the public ballot, hopeful runners can seek a place to run for a charity close to their heart, and we’re over the moon to be able to offer places to our supporters from 2026.

Demand far outweighs the number of places available for the London Marathon as the most popular road race in the world, and we have just 20 precious places to allocate to our supporters.

To ensure we maximise the funds and awareness from our limited London Marathon places, we operate an application process to learn about your motivations to run for Haig, and your fundraising plans.

We hope to offer the places to a broad range of our supporter community, but as it is a costly event for Haig to participate in, we respectfully encourage you to really consider your commitment to meeting our fundraising target before applying. If you are offered a place with Team Haig, we ask kindly ask you to commit to:

Initial registration fee to confirm your place: £150

Fundraising Target: £2500 (excluding gift aid)

Our friendly fundraising team will provide you with a fundraising pack and other materials so you will be supported every step of the way.

We appreciate the London Marathon fundraising target may seem daunting for some of our supporters.
